Gerald R Houghton

Gerald Robert Houghton , age 62, of St Louis, Missouri passed away on September 28, 2019 Saturday. He was born in St Louis, Missouri on Saturday, March 16, 1957.

Jerry was a hard-working family man. He loved his family, extended family and friends. He enjoyed nature; long walks in the woods with the ones he loved, sitting at a campfire, hunting and fishing. He was proud that he taught each of his kids how to fish. He loved having fun. He was known for his sense of humor. He loved food and a good margarita. He loved to bbq and have others enjoy what he grilled. He also enjoyed making catfish for the family, it was the best. He was a competitive sportsman; annual fishing tournament, multiple pool leagues, horseshoes, bowling and more. He was great to play board games with. He loved to win. He was very giving. He thought nothing of stopping and helping a stranger on the side of the road. His smile, laugh, funny faces, silly noises and most of all his big heart will be greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Sharon Houghton, four children: Justin, Tanya, Jill and Destiny, six grandchildren: Starr, Sammantha, Emma, Vega, Jessica and Justin Jr., four great grandchildren: Max, Leland, Novalee and Aurora, one brother, Steven and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Geraldine L. Cannon and a brother, Phillip.

A private service for the family will be held at noon, October 6th, 2019 at Blanchette Park,
Memorial Hall Building, 1900 W. Randolph St., St. Charles, MO 63301. Following will be a
Celebration of Life for friends and family between 1pm-4pm. So bring a picture, share a story
and Celebrate Jerry
