Gerald Frank Lovin Jr.

Gerald “Jerry” Frank Lovin, Jr, age 63, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Bryson City, North Carolina on July 25, 1960 to Gerald and Margaret Ann Lovin (nee Garland).

Gerald was a gentle giant with an infectious spirit that touched the many lives of the people with whom he crossed paths. Gerald was an avid sports fan, animal lover, and gardener. He had an abundance of love for his family and friends, sports, music, plants, and especially the wild animals he cared for at his home. Gerald was an infamous comedian; always bringing the laughs and spreading joy no matter where he was. Not only was Gerald a loving human, but he was also the kindest with a heart of gold. He lit up every room he stepped into with his contagious smile that we will never forget. Gerald was an absolute treasure and will forever remain in our hearts.

Gerald is survived by his son, Aren (Meloni) Lovin; daughter, Chelsea (Daniel) Lovin; two sisters, Sara (Tom) Hayes, Becky (Mike) Smith; two brothers, Joel (Linda) Lovin, Bill (Donna) Lewis; cousins Tim (Jan) Gribble and Bill Gribble, and a host of other family members and friends who love him so dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Lovin, Margaret Ann Garland, Janette Lovin, brother Danny Lewis, and cousin Jimmy Gribble.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life to honor Gerald on Saturday, May 25th from 12-5pm. Please join us at Frontier Park (Frontier Shelter 1) located at 222 South Riverside Dr, St Charles, MO, 63301.
