Gilbert Ervin Huenke, age 83, of St. Charles, MO passed away at home on Sunday, July 31, 2016. He was born in St. Louis, MO on December 2, 1932 to Ervin and Amanda Huenke (nee Brakensiek).
Gil was an Electrical Engineer at Emerson Electric for over 40 years and was a member of their Engineers Club. He loved farming, boating, and spending time with his family. Gil married Marian Weiss on August 8, 1953 in St. Louis, MO.
Gil is survived by his wife Marian; daughters Diane (Mike) Vaughn and Karen (Jasper) Noto; son Steve (Patti) Huenke; son in law John Signaigo; grandchildren, Courtney (Alex) Keough, Kendele (Wayne) Sieve, John Signaigo and Eric Huenke. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Denise Signaigo.
A Memorial will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, August 5, 2016 with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1355 Motherhead Rd, St. Charles (Cottleville), MO.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
