Glenda Fisher, a spirited and loving soul, graced this world with her vibrant personality from July 15, 1956, until passing on January 15, 2025, in St. Peters, Missouri. Born in Hickory, North Carolina, Glenda was a beacon of warmth, a live wire who captivated those around her with her strong-willed nature and generous heart.
Having dedicated over 30 years of her life to General Motors, Glenda retired with pride, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. She was known not just for her professionalism, but for her caring nature; she was the person that everyone turned to for help and support. Her organizational skills and her desire to please others made her an indispensable friend and family member.
Glenda's personal life was rich with joy and adventure. She found immense happiness in the company of her grandchildren: Vanessa Craft, Veronica Fisher, Ariana Fisher, and Caleb Fisher, who were often the bright stars in her life. Family vacations, especially those to Florida, were cherished moments filled with laughter and love, where Glenda made unforgettable memories at the beach and the magical Disney World.
An affectionate mother, she nurtured her children Heather Fisher, Joel Fisher, Jacob Fisher, and Dawn Papp with unwavering love. They will always remember her for her motherly instincts and her delightful spirit. Glenda held dear moments with her siblings, Deana McMurtry and Steve Kirby, and her significant other, Brian Hoag, as well as a very special relationship with her dear friend Kenneth Mahan "Papa Ken".
Glenda’s kindhearted nature extended beyond her family as she gathered a circle of friends who were honored to know her. Terri Eastman, Sandy Choate, Beverly Rice Sarazin, Amanda Wagner, Payton Henderson, and many others will cherish the memories they created with her, reminiscing about her vibrant laugh and her giving spirit.
While she leaves behind her beloved family and cherished friends, she also reunites with those whom she has lost along her journey, including her parents, Glen and Barbara Kirby, her dear friend Susan Burgert-Henderson, and her loving Grandma Daisy.
