Glenn C. Smith

Glenn Chester Smith, age 89, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Paragould , Arkansas on November 1, 1933 to Chester and Pearl Smith (nee Shasteen).

Glenn was a hardworking, humble, and kind man. He never missed a day of work or the chance to help someone else. Glenn was a devoted grandfather who never missed a chance to be with his grandkids.

Glenn is survived by his Daughter, Janine (Kevin) Martens of O Fallon, MO; Two Granddaughters, Alaina Martens, Elise Martens; Grandson, Caden Martens; Sister, Jeanette Welch; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.


He was preceded in death by his Wife, Carole Smith; Father, Chester Smith; Mother, Pearl Smith; and his Siblings, J.A. Smith, Douglas Smith, Wanda Arnold, and Wava Hammond.


Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will be held at 12:00pm also on January 18, 2023 at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
