Glennon Joseph Strunk passed away at home surrounded by his friends and family on July 20th, 2019 at the age of 63. Glennon was born on September 18th, 1955 in St. Charles, MO.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mella J. Strunk nee Meyers of New Melle, MO; daughter, Holly (Davy) Strunk of St. Peters, MO; son, Brad (Carrie) Strunk of Marthasville, MO; 1 grandson, Hunter; four brothers, Jerry Strunk of Macon, MO, Tim (Karen) Strunk of Moscow Mills, MO, Bryant Strunk of Clarksville, MO, Ed (Michelle) Strunk of O'Fallon, MO; six sisters, Mary (Les) Lich of St. Charles, MO, Jennifer Strunk of St. Charles, MO, Belinda (Paul) Welch of O'Fallon, MO, Veronica (Ed) Null of St. Peters, MO, Rochelle (Rob) Hamilton of Moscow Mills, MO, Bonnie (Bob) Feise of O'Fallon, MO; sister-in-laws, Christine Strunk of Marthasville, MO and Patty Strunk of Wentzville, MO; along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Strunk, mother, Margaret Strunk, brother, Aaron Strunk, brother, Steve Strunk, sister, Antoinett Strunk.
Glennon graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School in 1975.
Before he retired, Glennon worked as a gifted drywall finisher for River City Drywall alongside his son Brad. He became a member of the District Council 58 International Union of Painter's and Allied Trades.
On December 30th, 1978, Glennon was united in marriage to Mella Strunk nee Meyers in Pacific, MO. He enjoyed 40 years of marriage with Mella. Glennon loved his family dearly. He loved playing and watching Hunter play baseball. He also enjoyed many types of hunting and fishing with his son Brad, grandson Hunter, and all his brothers and friends on their farm. Glennon, who was also affectionately known as "Bud" enjoyed many other hobbies including gardening, salsa and pickle-making, as well as taxidermy with his best friend Tony Bishop.
Glennon was a member Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in New Melle, MO.
