Gloria Vivrett Russell

Gloria Jean Russell (née Vivrett), beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on August 28, 2024 at the age of 77.

Gloria was born on February 28,1947 in St. Louis, MO to George and Edith Vivrett. She lived the majority of her life in the St. Louis Metro area.

Gloria loved spending time with her cherished family and dog Daisy and was thrilled when she earned the title of Great-Grandma in 2022. Gloria was always on the go and up for anything. She enjoyed road trips, watching her grandchildren, tracking down hard to find gifts for family, a great lunch at Red Lobster, or just visiting with family and friends. 

Gloria is survived by her three daughters, Autumn Barksdale and husband Kevin of St. Peters, Amber Bill and husband Todd of O’Fallon, MO, and Donna Russell of St. Louis and two brothers, Jack Vivrett and wife Jackie of Florissant and Greg Vivrett and wife Jane of McHenry, Illinois. Gloria is also survived by five grandchildren, Adam McClenning and wife Tiffany, Brooke Durci and husband Jared, Sarah Barksdale, David Barksdale, and Jude Bill as well as four great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Vivrett, her brother Jerry Vivrett, and her sister Gail Umfleet. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
