Grace Marie Johnson

Dearly beloved Grace M. Johnson (Dodson) nee Abshier, age 84, passed away on November 20th, 2018 at Delmar Garden's of O'fallon. She was born on January 15th, 1934 to Margaret and Edward Abshier in Portageville, MO. Grace is survived by her children Mary Pierce (Lynnie Levy), Kenneth Dodson, David Dodson (Cheryl Dodson), Nancy Akers, Margie Dodson, Pam Dodson (Will Preston), Diane Dodson, Sandra Dodson Long, stepson Mike Johnson, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by husbands Kenneth Dodson and Billy Joe Johnson, son - in - law Jerry Akers, stepson Ronald Johnson, and grandsons Kenneth "Frankie" Dodson and Kevin Harandi. Grace lived a fulfilling life raising 8 children and doing factory work, being one of the first women to break into the Purex factory workforce. Grace was a wonderful woman, with a big heart, who welcomed everyone with open arms. She will truly be missed by all. Visitation will be held on November 25th, 2018 from 3-4pm for family and 4-7 pm for the public at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peter's, MO. with funeral services at Newcomer Funeral Home on November 26th, 2018 at 10 AM with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetary in Jennings, MO.
