Gregory "Michael" Rupard

December 4, 1977 — January 9, 2023

Gregory "Michael" Rupard, of St. Peters, Missouri passed away suddenly on January 9, 2023, at age 45. All who knew Michael are deeply saddened by his death.

Mike was born on December 4, 1977 to Greg and Linda Rupard, making his sister Jennifer a big sister. After Mike graduated from Francis Howell High School, in St. Charles, Missouri, in 1996, he went on to obtain his undergraduate degrees from Lindenwood University before earning his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University's School of Law. Michael worked at a variety of law offices during his 20+ year career, and ended his career with Blitt & Gaines, where his knowledge, honesty and integrity were respected by all who worked with him.

On October 8, 2005, Mike married Lynn Marie Schultz, officially joining two families that had been friends forever. Their marriage brought much laughter into their home, and on January 27, 2010, Mike and Lynn celebrated the birth of their miracle daughter, Mackenzie Anne (Daddy's Bubba). Mackenzie was the light of her Daddy's life and she completed their family with her arrival.

Michael loved the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, was very excited about the new St. Louis City SC and he enjoyed hunting and fishing when he had the time. First and foremost though, Mike loved his family without question. He did everything in his power to make his daughter's every dream come true and to make his wife's life less stressful. Watching Mackenzie's love of learning, and love of all things figure skating, was Mike's very favorite thing to do. Mike was Lynn and Mackenzie's biggest cheerleader, but he also cheered on and encouraged everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He loved big, and he loved without question. His final act of love was the donation of his organs, so that others may have a better chance at a fuller life.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Rosetta Rupard, his maternal grandparents Harold and Helen Stone, by his uncles Melvin and Fred Rupard and by his aunt Gail Young. Michael is survived and deeply missed by his wife Lynn, daughter Mackenzie, parents Greg and Linda Rupard, sister Jennifer Parkton, niece Rachel Parkton, in-laws Robert and Patricia Schultz, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles and many dear friends. His memory lives on in those of us who loved him.

There are no words to express how grateful we are to our friends and neighbors who were there for us on the night of his passing, and since. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Firefighters, EMT and Police Department for doing everything they could to keep Michael's bright light shining. The world is darker today, but not from lack of every effort possible.

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, in St. Peters, Missouri on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mackenzie Rupard, so that Michael can help make all his "Bubba's" dreams possible, even in his death. He never wanted Mackenzie to not have every opportunity that she desired, and lived his life for his little girl. PNC Bank holds an account for Mackenzie where any cash or checks will be deposited. Electronic donations can be made via Venmo to @MackenzieRupard, and they, too, will be directly deposited into Mackenzie's account. Michael's legacy of love will carry on with Mackenzie.
