Gregory Dell Van Pelt

Gregory Dell Van Pelt, age 60, of Monroe City, Missouri passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on April 25, 1963 to James and LaVonna Van Pelt (nee Dell).
Gregory was an Electrician for I.B.E.W. Local 1.

Gregory and his family moved to North County in 1965. He attended grade school at Fort Zumwalt. Gregory was an avid hunter. He loved to be on his boat with his grandkids on Mark Twain Lake. Gregory could often be found watching the Sopranos or the Godfather. Gregory was also an aspiring chef, he particularly loved to BBQ on his charcoal grill. He made the best gooey butter cake and chili. He enjoyed mushroom hunting.

Gregory is survived by his Son, Gregory Christopher (Sarah) Van Pelt Jr. of Wentzville, MO; Three Daughters, Erin Elizabeth Van Pelt of Pigeon Forge, TN, Kasey Elizabeth Van Pelt of Saint Charles, MO, Kelly Elizabeth (Kevin) Alberts of Wentzville, MO; Five grandchildren, Mason Van Pelt, Sophia Wehmeier, Makenna Van Pelt, Jackson Alberts, Karter Davis; Two Brothers, Chris Van Pelt, Jeff (Cheri) Van Pelt; Sister, Dina (Thomas) Drmac; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James Lee Van Pelt; and Mother, LaVonna Mae Van Pelt.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 4:00pm.
