Harry Martin Bixler passed away quietly on June 4th, 2022 surrounded by family and friends after a nearly three year battle with cancer. He was 84 years old.

His wife Deborah J. Bixler (41 years together), his children Barb (Brian) Vogel, Deb (John Hagen) Bixler, Paul (Karen) Bixler, Pam (Richard) Arthur, Chris McMillan, and Patrick McMillan, his grandchildren Madi Bixler, Evi Arthur, Clayton Bixler, Maggie Hagan, Jack Arthur, Gabriel McMillan, Zachary Rogers, Shelby McMillan, April Vogel, Jennifer (James) Graham, Rosemary (Brian) Gaddes and Kevin Vogel, two great-grandchildren Hannah and Andrew Graham, sisters Mary Ann Vitale and Dot (Gary) Korte, and brother Charles "Butch" Bixler. Harry is also survived by special family friends Jill, Brad, and Charlee Hammerich, and Amy and Lilly Hagene. Additional survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Harry's whole life was FILLED with music! He sang with St. Peters Choral Society, SCCC Community College Choir, St. Robert, and Karaoke. He loved to dance and was a past member of the St. Charles Imperial Club. He also enjoyed time spent at the beach, especially sunrise and sunsets, camping, trout fishing, playing chess, and antique cars, especially El Caminos. Harry served his country with honor in the United States Navy, and enjoyed a 37 year career with Boeing, retiring in 1993. He was a proud member of IAM District 837.
But most of all Harry loved time spent with family, grandchildren, and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at IAM-AW District 837 Hall.
