Helen Lois Harris, age 82, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017. She was born January 4, 1935 in Mitchell, Indiana.
In His great mercy, God called her home somewhat sooner than expected, sparing her from enduring the hardships caused by declining physical conditions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Frances West, siblings Billy Joe and Earl West, and first child Michael David North.
She is survived by:
Sister Kay Martin (husband Charles) of Enid, Oklahoma, nephews Darrell Paul Martin (wife Pam), Darren Eugene Martin (wife Judy) & Charles Patrick Martin (wife Diane).
Brother Charles West of Springfield, Missouri
Son Douglas Richard Gomez (wife Karen) of Granbury, Texas, great grandchildren Zachariah Gene Gomez, Christina Renee Becan (husband Kris), Whitney Shae Ray (husband Geoff), Ashley Lynette Gomez and 10 great grandchildren.
Son Steven Leslie Gomez of Saint Peters, Missouri, grandson Christopher Steven Gomez of Florissant, Missouri, great grandchildren Stephen Michael Gomez and Sophia Grace Gomez.
Daughter Andrea Lynn Parsons (husband Scott) of Long Beach, California, granddaughter Rebecca Parsons.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm until 6:45 pm Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Funeral service following visitation December 14, 2017 at 6:45pm at Newcomer.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the POW-MIA Museum at Jefferson Barracks in honor of Helen's late son, Michael David North (United States Navy).
