Howard Dale Mack, affectionately known as "Bucky" to those who were lucky enough to call him a friend or family, peacefully left this world on January 12, 2025, in St. Charles, Missouri, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on March 9, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bucky lived a life filled with love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.
With his stoic yet friendly demeanor, Bucky was a loving husband to his wife, Margaret Marie Mack, who stood by his side through every season of life. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, enriched by many moments shared together, including joyful times spent at Lake of the Ozarks with their boat—a source of countless happy memories for Bucky. He took pride in fixing up old cars, showcasing his hard-working nature and love for craftsmanship.
Bucky's steadfast devotion extended beyond his beloved wife to his dear sons, John Michael Mack and Bradley Allen Mack, and to Bradley's wife, Kristen. He was a dependable father who always ensured that his family felt supported and loved. Bucky's true joy resonated in the laughter and accomplishments of his grandchildren—Aidan Conner Mack, Avery AnnMarie Mack, and Emery Kate Mack—whose lives he enriched with warmth and guidance. Bucky is also survived by his caring Sister-in-Law, Nina Mack, wife of his brother Richard Mack.
Though he grieves the loss of his beloved parents, E.W. and Alice Mack, and his brothers, Richard and Neal Mack, Bucky's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched. A man of honor, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the essence of what it means to be devoted and caring.
In all who had the privilege of knowing him, Bucky's memory remains alive: a reminder of his enduring spirit and the kindness he shared so freely, never turning down a cold brew with friends. As we celebrate the beautiful life he lived, we hold onto the love and laughter he instilled in our hearts forever.
