Jack William Sneller stepped into eternity on May 1, 2024 in St.Peters, Missouri.
Jack was born December 30, 1932 to Jack O. and Mary C. (MacKay) Sneller in Ames, Iowa. Jack was the son of immigrants from England and Scotland and was a first-generation American. He graduated from Davenport High School in 1951 and Iowa State University in 1956. Jack joined the United States Air Force immediately after college, achieved the rank of captain and served as a radar intercept officer in the 321st Fighter Intercept Squadron. He served in Texas, Florida, Washington state and Japan before receiving his honorable discharge in 1960. Upon his return to the states, Jack married Eva Jean Moody, on November 25, 1960. They moved to St. Louis and Jack worked as a sales representative for Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals for 35 years before retiring in 1994.
Jack loved his God, his family and his country. He was an active member of Florissant Valley Baptist Church of Florissant, MO and then First Baptist Church of St. Charles, MO having served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir member. Jack enjoyed reading, studying his Bible, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Eva Sneller of O’Fallon; sons, Mark (Leslie) Sneller of St. Charles, MO and Brett Sneller of O’Fallon, MO; grandchildren, Ashton Sneller of Springfield, MO and Nathan Sneller of St. Charles, MO; brother David (Linda) Sneller of Carmichael, CA.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 16t, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel. Additional Visitation will be from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm with a Memorial Service immediately following at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2:30 pm with Military Honors.
