Jackson Schaeffer

March 16, 2021 — October 2, 2023

Jackson Pieter Schaeffer also known as Jack Jack was born on March 16th, 2021, in St. Charles, MO, passed away on October 23, 2023. He was the beloved son of Julia Stoutenborough and John Schaeffer, and the cherished younger brother of Joshua Leo Schaeffer.

Jack Jack lived with his mother, older brother Joshua and his grandparents, Aric and Kelly Stoutenborough.Despite his small size, Jack Jack was full of personality and like many of his family members, was incredibly stubborn, earning him the nickname "little gremlin". At just two years old, he displayed remarkable intelligence and knew how to use his cuteness to his advantage, often succeeding in getting what he wanted. Some of Jack Jack's favorite activities included going on walks with Mimi and Joshua, reading goodnight books with Mommy, building Legos with Daddy and Papa, and anything related to dinosaurs, especially if he could show off his best roar. He was also a big fan of Spider-man and loved striking a Spidey pose whenever he had the chance. Jackson was involved in the St. Charles soccer club, although he spent more time lying on the field than playing. There were very few activities the Jack Jack did without his older brother Joshua. Despite a few fights over who's monster truck was who's, the brothers were inseparable and could always be found running around together playing spaceships or singing along to their favorite blippi songs in the back of mommy's car. Despite being a picky eater, Jack Jack had a fondness for peanut butter crackers and strawberries. If you were lucky, you may have seen Jack Jack wearing his favorite jacket, which featured a black and white city background with colorful dinosaurs roaming about. With his unexpected death, Jack Jack's last day on earth was a perfect one. A day spent like many Sundays before, surrounded by his loving family on a trip to the zoo to see the dinosaurs.

Please join our family in remembering his bright and beautiful life.

Jackson is survived by his father, John Schaeffer; his mother, Julia Stoutenborough; his brother, Joshua Schaeffer; his maternal grandparents, Kelly and Aric Stoutenborough; his aunts, Amber Stoutenborough, Megan Stoutenborough, and Christina Schaeffer; his uncle, Justin Schaeffer; his maternal Great-Grandparents, Ron and Billy Collier, Dee Stilgenbauer, and Rich and Becky Stoutenborough; his paternal grandparents, Annie and Eric Ross.
