Jacqueline "Jackie" Kay Nix, age 82, of St Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was born in Hannibal, Missouri on August 4, 1941 to Darrell and Naomi Simpson (nee Strachan).
Jackie Nix left this earth after a 7 month battle with cancer. Jackie fought this battle with everything she could. If you had the privilege of knowing her, you would understand just how hard she fought.
Jackie was just shy of her 83rd birthday. Jackie was a 34-year Breast Cancer survivor. Jackie moved to Texas and drove a school bus and trained other. She returned back to Missouri and married Dave Nix and shared 37 wonderful and memorable years together.
Jackie went to Pattonville and was a Majorette and still always attended her class reunions and hung around with classmates. Jackie’s earlier days were filled with raising kids, camping, and fishing.
Jackie’s blue eyes and warm smile will be forever impressed in our memory. Jackie will be missed and always in our hearts and thought of every day.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband, David Nix; three daughters, Tammy (Darrell) Stonebarger, Tracy (Danny) Maytas, Laura (Dan) Westhues; three sons, Darren Benoist, David Nix, James (Tiffany) Nix; 6 Grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell L. Simpson; mother, Naomi P. Simpson.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm with a Memorial Service immediately following at 4:00 pm Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial service at the Knights of Columbus Hall in St. Charles located at 20 Westbury Dr, St Charles, MO 63301.
