Jaime Cruz Jr., age 60, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He was born in Washington D.C. on November 11, 1962 to Jaime and Irma Cruz (nee Tirado).

Jaime (Jimmy) was a Pipe Shop Foreman with the Veterans Affairs (VA) for 37 years.
Before working for the VA he worked for Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center (DMAAC) in Washington D.C.
He also worked for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis, when he moved to Missouri in 1989.

He always took Great pride in the work that he did for the Saint Louis VA Medical Center at Jefferson Barracks.

Jimmy was an avid Trail Runner that completed 5K, 10K, 15K and 20K runs through steep hills and in all types of weather.
He enjoyed the trails at Pere Marquette and Castle Wood state parks.
He loved to train for his runs with his dog Savior.

He had recently bought an Electric Bike, which he would say, "This is the Best Toy, I have Ever bought myself."

He enjoyed riding his electric bike on the Katy Trail and kept trying to make it further and farther down the trail.

He Cherished every second of time with his 2 Sons, 2 Grandchildren and Family. He loved to go back home to Maryland, yearly to visit with family and friends. He enjoyed going to the beach in Ocean City, MD with his family.

He was close with his Mother and never missed calling and always sent her flowers on Mother's Day, her Birthday, Christmas and other special occasions.

He was the type of person that would stop everything he was doing to help someone out. He could fix Anything and Everything. If he didn't know how to fix it, he would learn how to fix it from watching a YouTube video, then have it fixed and working.

He never gave up on anyone and was always there to support his loved one's include his ex-spouse through tough times.

He enjoyed going to the flea market on the weekends with Donna Hess, when he wasn't helping someone fix something.

He enjoyed at the end of a long day, to listen and watch YouTube videos. He would always listen to music while he cooked dinner for his family and sip on a beer. He also enjoyed watching Boxing, MMA and Wrestling with his Son's and family.

He was a beloved Father, Brother, Friend, Husband and Grandpa. He will be Greatly missed by his Family and Friends alike.

He will be happy to be reunited with his son Anthony, father Jaime Cruz Sr. , ex-spouse Tammy Cruz and other Loved one's.

Jaime is survived by his Two Sons, Michael J. (Bridgette) Cruz of Winfield, MO, Alexander (Robin) Cruz of Saint Charles, MO; Two grandchildren, Kaelyn Cruz, Hayden Cleveland; Brother, Bill (Jane) Cruz; Two Sisters, Margie (Rene) Lopez, Brenda Cruz; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Jaime Cruz, Sr.; Son, Anthony Cruz; and Former Spouse, Tammy Jean Cruz;

Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2023 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will be held the following morning, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 10:00am also at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Interment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery immediately following.
