James "Jim" Kenneth Bishop, Jr., age 93, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023.
Born October 23, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late James Kenneth Bishop, Sr. and the late Dorothy D. Bishop (nee Larson).
Jim was the beloved husband of 75 years to Phyllis D. Bishop (nee Farris). Loving father to James K. (Dixie) Bishop, III, David E. (Patricia) Bishop, George A. (Kim) Bishop, and Cheryl D. (the late Dale) Schlater. Cherished grandfather to Darla (Bill) Quillman, Melissa (Cory) Bishop-Mattaline, David E. Bishop, II, Laura (Mike) Wasson, James W. (Kim) Bishop, Adam (Liz) Bishop, Emily (James) Watkins, Leah (Steve) Fiske, and Dana (Chris) Schlater-Ellerbrook. Loving great-grandfather to 22 and great-great-grandfather to 1.
Jim and family moved from the Kansas City area to St. Louis in 1967. After settling in he and his wife founded Jim Bishop Company, an emblematic jewelry company.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
