James Lee Britton, age 90, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 30, 1931 to Walter and Stella Britton (nee McDonough).
James is survived by his wife of 71 years, Peggy Lee Britton of Saint Peters, MO; Son, Russell Lee Britton; Daughter, Penny Lee Sanders; Son, Michael Lee Britton; Son, James Lee Britton Jr.; Son, Charles Lee Britton; Thirteen grandchildren; Twenty one great-grandchildren; Sister, Shirley Doza; Step-brother, Russell Britton; Step-sister, Lorraine (nee Britton) Klusmeyer; Step-brother, William Laverne Hargis; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Britton; and mother, Stella Britton.
James loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. There was never a fish he didn't try to catch.
