James Andrew Crowe was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 24, 1999, to James and Drusilla Renee Crowe (nee Eickoff). He is the brother of Anthony (Dana) Sullivan, Daniel "DJ" (Kelsey) Sullivan, and Brianna Crowe. The beloved grandson of Darrel Sr. and Lavina Eickoff. The nephew of Katherine "Katie" Connelly, Rita (Dan) Shinneman, Regina (Alan) Dixon, Stacey (Jose) Estrada, and Darrel Jr. (Sara) Eickoff. The cousin of Joe, Christina, Ashley, Emily, Matthew, James, Heather, Brandon, Nicole, Nathan, Jake, Ethan, and Ryan. Uncle to Julia, Cooper, Bryson, Jet, and Lynnex. The father of his beloved dog, Roady.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Albert and Edna Lois Crowe, his aunt, Kathleen Fillmore, and his cousin, James (Bubba) Shinneman.

Helen Keller wrote that "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us." This is how we feel about our JJ, James Andrew Crowe, Army Specialist.

He was the compassionate friend who included everyone. The life of any gathering, the party planner, the perpetual supervisor, who made forever friends. He built people up and encouraged them to grow, in their faith, from wherever they are. A friend to all. Bri was his little buddy, he kept her close and safe. There were those friends who became family, Ashley, Jacob, Patricia, and CC. Longtime best friends of Claudia, Lizzie, McKenzie, Max, and many more. He admired big brothers, Anthony and DJ, for their strength and commitment to family. He loved hanging out with his grandparents, aunts, and uncles, who helped mold him into the man he became, the cousins who were his friends and partners in creative fun, his nieces and nephews and prayed for them regularly, and Roady, his beloved dog and friend, that grew up with him.

He was his dad's delight and source of pride. JJ liked to tag along and wanted to follow in his dad's boot prints. He joined the military and they worked as soldiers together always having each other's back. He was a mama's boy. He helped her do whatever she was doing, even as a kid. He volunteered at the Jefferson Barracks VA helping Veterans where she worked because of his love to be close to her and helping people. When he began working in Army ARPAC, he loved doing the similar work she does. JJ enjoyed sharing work and skills with his parents, as they served their beloved country, together.
JJ was a soldier, an Eagle Scout, a volunteer at church, volunteer at Boy Scouts, volunteer at the VA, and by serving on the Missouri National Guard Teen Advisory Council. He learned to be resilient and was comfortable with the truth and to be a leader. He loved architectural designs and created many house plans and blueprints. He was our "boujee boy," luxurious in life, yet humble in character.

He left this earth surrounded by family, who were gathered intent on celebrating the memorial of the fallen soldiers. Asthma took JJ's life here. His days, like all of us are numbered, but JJ is alive in the eternal places with God because he believed John 3:16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but have eternal life".

We have loved JJ deeply, Lord, we thank you for his life and we look forward to seeing him again.
