James Howard Geiss

July 18, 1943 — August 6, 2020

James Howard Geiss, 77, passed peacefully on Thursday, Aug 6th, 2020. Although he struggled with Parkinson's disease for his last few years, he always lived a happy and joyful life. He leaves his beloved wife of 50 years, Helen Geiss, and 2 sons, Peter and Evan Geiss.

Born and raised as the youngest of 7 siblings in Cleveland, OH, he attended St. Ignatius, Dyke College, graduated from Kent State University, and went on to work for American Greetings. A job at McDonnell Douglas moved him to St. Louis in 1985, and he resided in St. Charles, MO for the last 35 years. He was a member of the St. Charles Realtors Association, and Sales Manager at Schneider Real Estate. This was his favorite job, and where he truly shined.

Avid birder, loved rock & roll, blues, and bluegrass music, and was a huge baseball and hockey fan. As many of you may know, Jim was always able to bring joy and laughter to any occasion. A man of humor and wit, he was adventurous, extremely intelligent, kind and loving, and very passionate about helping others. He will absolutely be missed by many, and we know he will live on in our hearts forever.
