James "Jim" Orsund

James Wallace Orsund, age 79, of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota on April 6, 1944 to Alvin and Beatrice Orsund (nee Peterson).

Jim attended the University of Utah receiving his bachelors and masters in Social Work. He began his career in fundraising with the United Way, followed by his work at Texas Christian University. He spent the majority of his career working for children's hospitals before his retirement.

After his retirement, Jim was dedicated to his children, he frequently was the family chauffer first for high schools then college. He could frequently be found walking around with the family dog, Ziva, who he shared a special bond.

Jim was an avid outdoors man, at home and at his home away from home in Minnesota, the Ponderosa.

Jim is survived by his Wife, Barbara Orsund; Daughter, Katherine Orsund; Son, James Orsund; Sister, Judy (Daryl) Clark; Brother, Gerald (Sharon) Orsund; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Alvin and Beatrice Orsund.
