James L. Schwent

James "Jim" L. Schwent, age 78, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 in Saint Charles, Missouri. He was born in Bloomsdale, Missouri on July 20, 1944 to Roy and Marie Schwent (nee Berger).

Jim served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1968. He was a life member of the AmVets, V.F.W., V.V.A. and the American Legion Riders. He had a passion for giving back to other veterans through the AmVet's honor guard. He retired from General Motors after 30+ years. Jim was a car enthusiast and a member of the Boone Trail Corvette Club. Jim was an avid bowler and was involved in a Friday Night Bowling League for many years. He was always proud of his family and they will cherish all the memories they have.

Jim is survived by his wife, Judy Schwent; his children, Jamie (Steve) Wright, Jodi (Dave) Williams, Dawn (Mike) Phillips, and Lawrence (Gina) Royston; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his brother, Chuck Schwent; He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marie Schwent; his brothers, Willis Schwent, Lloyd Schwent and Frank Schwent.
