James Robert Nunn
January 28, 1947 — February 20, 2023
Born January 28th, 1947 to Ralph and Margaret Nunn in Iowa City, Iowa. Preceded in death by his brother Jerry Nunn.
He is survived by his wife Rene Bouchard and previous wife Janell Nunn. He is survived by his sister Nancy Nunn of Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by his daughters, Allison Knolhoff and Brooke Schultz and by his grandchildren, Logan and Caroline Knolhoff; and Parker and Burke Schultz.
Jim graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Psychology and went to work with the Leo Burnett ad agency in Chicago. He then spent two years in the US Army after being drafted. After the Army he went back to school and received an MBA from SIUE. After a brief stint with Falstaff Brewing Co. as a district sales manager, he was hired by Merrill Lynch as a stockbroker. He retired after more than 30 years in the investment business.
His hobbies included golf, fly fishing, and bridge where he earned Gold Life Master status. He has traveled extensively visiting all 50 states along with Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. He also toured Australia and New Zealand and visited Europe several times.
