James Russel Smith, age 85, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Colchester, Illinois on December 3, 1938 to Roland and Velma Smith (nee Boyd).
James is survived by his five children, Patricia (Todd Anthony) Trout, Stephanie (John) Ayres, Timothy Smith, Thomas Smith, James Smith; thirteen grandchildren, Ashlyn (Rhett), Jacob, David, Ava, Chelsea, Nathanuel (Abigail), Matthew, Gabrielle, Adelynne, Kylie, Harper, Julian, Carter; three great-grandchildren, Lana, Ryker, Phoenix; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Velma Smith; and brother, Lavern Smith.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 pm with a Funeral Ceremony at 5:00 pm Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
