Jane F. Blake

Jane F. Blake, age 69, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away peacefully at home with her family on Friday, December 17, 2021, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Washington, Missouri on October 1, 1952 to Elroy and Bernice Selz (nee Breeden).

Jane enjoyed shopping with her daughter Courtney and Granddaughter Lily. She also enjoyed the Fox Theater and concerts. Jane loved reading murder mysteries and watching black and white movies. She loved bantering back and forth about her favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers, with her son in law, Joe. Jane had a green thumb - she cared for all of her flowers, ferns and her garden of vegetables. Her favorite thing in the world is when Lily would sneak a phone and facetime her early in the morning or late at night, so they could tell secrets. Jane loved going on vacation with Courtney so they could relax, lay on the beach, laugh and share gossip. She also loved spending a Saturday going out to lunch, shopping and to a movie with her co-workers.

Jane is survived by her husband, Gordon Blake; her daughter, Courtney A. (Joe) Hix; granddaughter, Lily J. Hix; her brother, Greg Selz; her sister, Jackie (Michael) Grubb; brother-in-law, Lawrence Andreatta; sister-in-law, Shelly Selz. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elroy J. Selz; her mother, Bernice Selz; and her sister, Joyce Andreatta.

Mass will be 9:00 am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 601 N Fourth St, St Charles, MO 63301. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Saint Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.

Memorial contributions in Jane's name may be made out to Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School, 431 Decatur St, St Charles, MO 63301.
