Janet Rodakowski, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of 64. Born on April 25, 1960, in Canada, Janet's life was a tapestry woven with warmth, laughter, and resilience. She dedicated herself to her family and community, leaving a profound mark on all who had the privilege to know her.
Janet's career began in a distinctive manner; she crafted fiberglass airplane parts, showcasing her dedication and attention to detail. Later, she brought her passion for service to the IGA deli, where her welcoming smile and delightful demeanor made every customer feel special. Janet had a unique ability to connect with people, turning every interaction into a heartfelt exchange.
In her personal life, Janet found joy in simple pleasures. She cherished playing cards and reveling in the excitement of BINGO nights. Her love for thrift shopping was well-known among her friends and family, often resulting in delightful discoveries and shared memories. Each moment spent with Janet was a testament to her vibrant personality and zest for life.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Allen Rodakowski, and their two cherished sons, Kane Sullivan and Faro Rodakowski. She leaves behind a close-knit family, including siblings Susan, Carol, Paul, and Robert, along with brothers-in-law Rich (Barb) Rodakowski and sister-in-law Katherine (Bill) Voss. Each of them will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter.
Preceding Janet in death are her dear sisters May and Donna, alongside her brother Edward, who welcomed her into the next life.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, MO, on February 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Following this, a Mass celebrating Janet's life will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville, MO, on February 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by her burial at Our Lady Catholic Cemetery in Lake Saint Louis, MO, at 11:30 AM.
As we remember Janet, we celebrate her life, her passions, and the love she shared so freely. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, guiding and inspiring them in the years to come.
