Janet Lee Roth

Janet Lee Roth, a cherished matriarch, passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on March 25, 1943, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Janet brought warmth and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janet has a passion for nurturing relationships with friends and family. Known for her gift of words of affirmation, Janet had a unique ability to uplift those around her, spreading joy and kindness wherever she went.

In her leisure time, Janet enjoyed engaging in a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She cherished playing board and card games with her friends and family, and was particularly fond of Mahjong. A talented baker and cook, she took great pleasure in preparing meals for loved ones. Janet had a love for TCM, indulging in classic films and contributing style and flair to her family through her shopping endeavors. Additionally, she was a devoted spectator, often found watching her grandchildren play sports, proudly cheering them on.

During Janet's professional career, she always gave 100%. 

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Lowell Roth, and their daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Nuelle and Lorna (Patrick) Gerwitz. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Mitchell Nuelle, Madison Gerwitz, Christian Nuelle, Clayton Gerwitz, Brett Nuelle, and Tatum Gerwitz. Janet’s legacy is also carried on through a host of other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor (Arnold) Oliver. The impact she made on the lives of those around her will not be forgotten, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
