Jeanette Ruth Grubbs, born on April 11, 1934, in Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 31 2024, in Saint Charles, Missouri. A vibrant personality who touched the lives of many, Jeanette's legacy is defined by her dedication to both her family and the people she cared for.
Jean began her career working for RC Can Company, later becoming self-employed as a caretaker, a role that showcased her compassionate nature and commitment to helping others. She was a proud graduate of Jennings High School, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with learning and growth.
In her leisure hours, Jeanette enjoyed a variety of hobbies that enriched her life. She was an avid reader, a talented bowler in her youth, and a cherished member of the Immanuel Church Choir, where her love for singing flourished. Jeanette was also an active participant in the Immanuel Birthday Club, celebrating life’s special moments with friends. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the treasure of her heart.
Jeanette is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Jeanette (William) Bathe and Kay Darlene (Bob) Jones, both of Saint Charles, MO. She also leaves behind two stepdaughters, Becky (Rob) Ritter and April Lindberg; her brother, Robert Olsen; 14 grandchildren, Jessica, Grant, Erin, Kyle, Lauren, Mike, Sarah, Luke, Robby, Amanda, Justin, Natalie, Roman, and Tyler; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends who will dearly miss her loving presence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Henry Gustav Julius Olsen; her mother, Olga Amelia Aurelia (Maack) Olsen; her husband, Jack Grubbs; her daughter, Karen Ann Russell; two sisters, Joan Riemenschneider and Judy Olsen; and her stepson, Jack Gavin Grubbs.
Visitation for Jeanette will be held on September 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church & School LCMS located at 115 S 6th St, St Charles, MO 63301. Jeanette will be laid to rest at New Bethlehem Memorial Park.
Jeanette Ruth Grubbs leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and kindness that will resonate through the hearts of those she touched. As we remember her today, let us celebrate a life well-lived and the countless memories she has created across generations.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jeanette's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
