Jeanette L. Minzer

January 23, 1941 — April 1, 2021

Jeanette Minzer, 80, passed away gently from this world on April 1st 2021 at the age of 80 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She's now reunited with her loving husband of 56 years, Buck Minzer (Roba), to continue a true love stories of the ages. Jeanette ran away from home in February 1958 at age of 17 to marry her 18 year old sailor boy. Their families were unhappy about the elopement, and Buck's mom Pearl even tried to get the marriage annulled. They were just too young. It just couldn't work. So, from that point on, their theme song was always "Too Young". They were happily married until Buck passed away in 2014. Maybe they weren't too young after all.

Those who knew her will remember her laugh, sweet smile, and passion for living. She was never hesitant to share her opinion on anything, sometimes displaying a flash of fiery temper. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and cherished her time with them. She particularly adored her more recent role as Nana. She had a way of making each grandchild feel as if they were her favorite, and spoiled them whenever she had the chance. Ever guided by her deep faith and gentle heart, Jeanette was generous and kind. She was always available for a warm hug, attentive ear, or simple words of encouragement.

She is preceded in death by her husband Buck, parents Anna Meyer, stepfather Bill Meyer, and father Anthony, sisters Marie Jurak, Virginia White, and Veronica Stufflebean.

She is survived by her three children Tim (Lisa), Tamra (Alan), and Teresa (Ron), ten grandchildren, Rebecca, Alaina, Christina, Sara, Ashlie, Amanda, Cassandra, Ronald, Zachary, and Lucas, four great grandchildren Dillon, Abbie, Thomas, and Ruby, brothers Anthony, Henry and Michael Grzyb, and sister Delores Lavatto.

She also leaves behind many friends, nieces, and nephews. Too many to name, sorry. We offer special thanks to our close friends the Schmiedeke family, and Uncle Bill and Marty Nunn. She especially adored her little brother Mike and wife Pat. She loved you with all her heart and all her feet.

The family thanks those who visited her in the last few months. The visits brightened her final days, and helped keep her in good spirits.

Until we meet again.
