It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jearld L. Shuler, who departed this world on December 25, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 27, 1932, in Aldrich, Polk County, Missouri, Jearld's journey through life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a profound commitment to his family.
Jearld worked tirelessly for the Internal Revenue Service for thirty-six years of his professional life. His unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. Upon retirement, Jearld and his late wife, Geraldine, settled in O'Fallon, Missouri, where they enjoyed the fruits of their labor and the company of a growing family.
Jearld is survived by his four loving children: Stephen Shuler of St. Peters, Missouri; Tami Tobin of St. Peters, Missouri; Brenda Shuler of Foristell, Missouri; and Kent Shuler of St. Peters, Missouri. His legacy extends through eight grandchildren, Melanie Tobin, Eric Conway, Heather Vaughn, Dylan Conway, Brandon Tobin, Nicholas Shuler, Dane Shuler, and Marley Shuler; and two great-grandchildren, Mason Conway, and Daxson Conway, each a testament to the love and warmth that defined his family life.
Jearld was a dedicated family man and a pillar of strength and wisdom. His presence was a source of comfort and guidance to those who were fortunate enough to know him. He instilled in his family the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of cherishing moments with loved ones.
In 2018, Jearld experienced the loss of his beloved wife, Peggy Geraldean, who preceded him in death on January 26. Their enduring love and partnership inspired all who knew them, and it is heartening to know that they are reunited once more.
As we bid farewell to Jearld L. Shuler, let us remember the mark he left on the hearts of those around him. His legacy lives on through the values he ingrained in his family and the memories shared by friends and loved ones. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love and serenity he so richly deserves.
