Jefferson "Buzzy" Brackett, age 77, of Godfrey, Illinois passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021. He was born in Concord, Arkansas on October 9, 1944 to Melvin "Gene" and Lillian Brackett (nee Bell).
Buzzy is survived by his sons, Randy (Melissa) Brackett and Steven (Shelly) Brackett; grandchildren, Dakota (Tony) Wolter, Austin Brackett, Macie Oldfield, and Payton Benoist; great-grandsons, Oliver and Colton Marcus; and siblings, Loretta Hargrove, Margie Foshee, Diane Davis, Beckie McDillon, Ronnie (Char ) Brackett, and Richard (Georgina) Brackett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin "Gene" and Lillian Brackett; sister, Laverne Blanton; and brother, Lenny Brackett.
Buzzy served his country with honor during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He is lovingly remembered for his practical jokes, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
