Jennifer May, age 47, of Foristell, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. She was born in St Louis County, Missouri on May 17, 1974 to Michael and Susie Licavoli (nee Murphey).
"For professional achievement in the superior performance of her duties while serving as the Files and Directives Clerk for Marine Corps Security Force Company, Naval Submarine Base, Bangor from 08 January 1992 to 14 April 1995, Displaying high levels of technical proficiency resourcefulness and initiative in the execution of her duties, Corporal Spears demonstrated superior leadership abilities in the delegation of tasks and supervision of subordinates under her charge. As a direct result of her performance Corporal Spears met and conquered each challenge encountered ensuring all required tasks were accomplished in a timely and extremely efficient manner." Said Major Graham, United States Marine Corps Commanding Officer. She was awarded the Naval Achievement Medal.
Jennifer was an amazing Marine, but the only thing she was better at, was being a Mother. She worked tirelessly at work to provide for her son, and in tough times she brought out the good in the situation with laughter and her beautiful smile. Her favorite things to do are pranks/skits, making you laugh, buying Coach purses, watching Chris Farley movies, and talking.
Jennifer was the loving mother of Billy Spears, III of Bolivar, MO, grandmother of Matthew Spears, daughter of Susie (Dennis) Bernat, sister to Julie (Matt) Brower, and Sarah J (Ruedi) Waltert. Dearest fiancé of Rick Brakensiek, second mom of Kelsey Brakensiek, and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Licavoli.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals - St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Military honors will take place at 4:00 pm.
