Jerry Lee McDonald, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather left this world on November 23, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on January 27, 1948, in Lilbourn, Missouri, Jerry dedicated over 30 years of his life as an electrician the Missouri State Government, proudly serving the Bellefountaine Habilitation Center. His unwavering work ethic was a testament to his character—he was a hard worker who took pride in every task.
Known for his charm and sense of humor, Jerry had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. He was a dedicated father who made countless memories with his children—Matt, Lori, Lisa, and Lindsay. Family time was precious to Jerry; he loved playing card games, coaching sports, and organizing fun-filled outings. Fishing was another of his passions, and he cherished the times he spent with his children and their friends on exciting fishing trips, always gathering a group of kids to share in the adventure.
His warmth and good-natured ribbing will be remembered fondly by his family, who will miss his stubborn yet loving spirit. Jerry's life was enriched by his passionate hobbies, from fishing trips to playing horseshoes and trying his luck at the slot machines.
Jerry leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren—Devin, Tori, Tyler, Chace, Jaden, Benjamin, Carson, and Eliza—who brought him immense joy and pride. As a great-grandfather, he will be lovingly remembered by Xoryon, Tahjeer, and Xuri.
He is survived by his beloved sisters, Jane, Patricia, and Dottie. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary McDonald, and his brother, Henry McDonald, along with his sister, Flora McDonald.
