Jim Ebeler

Saint Peters, Missouri

Jim Ebeler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, in Saint Peters, Missouri, at the age of 66. Born on July 18, 1958, in Saint Louis, Missouri to William L. & Dolores M. (Hynes) Ebeler, Jim lived a life filled with love, adventure, and a deep commitment to his family and friends.

For 30 years, Jim proudly served as a lineworker Chrysler, where his work ethic and commitment to quality were emblematic of his character. He approached life with a fun-loving spirit, treating every day as an adventure. His personality was infectious; he was a wonderful storyteller and often brought laughter to those around him. Jim was known for his generosity, always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Outside of work, Jim embraced life’s pleasures through his many hobbies and interests. He cherished moments spent fishing, boating, golfing, hunting, and barbequing. An enthusiastic sports fan, he was often found on his deck watching his favorite sports teams and yelling at the refs. In his younger years, he enjoyed the thrill of riding motorcycles, and music played a central role in his life, providing a soundtrack to his joys and celebrations.

Most importantly, Jim took great pride in being a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Anne Ebeler; his daughter, Taylor (Nate) Goggin; and his son, Dustin Ebeler. His legacy continues through his two grandchildren, Jameson and William Goggin, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Jim also leaves behind his loving brother, Bill (Carol) Ebeler; and a cherished extended family that includes four nephews, David (Mary) Ebeler, Brian (Nikki) Obermark, Daniel (Bridget) Obermark, Kyle McGrath, five nieces, Katherine (Greg) Johnson, Laura (Drew) Dacus, Maggie (Chris) Kapeller, Allie McGrath, Cori (Jim) Lyons two great nieces, Maddie & Hannah Ebeler, sister-in-law, Mary Obermark, and two brothers-in-law, Matthew (Lisa) McGrath, Pat (Debbie) McGrath, along with a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Ebeler, and mother, Dolores M. Ebeler.
