Jimmy E. Rowland

Jimmy Earl Rowland, age 81, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Jasper, Arkansas on December 26, 1941 to Walter and Dorothy Rowland (nee Poyner).

Jimmy retired from Boeing after over 35 years of employment. After retirement, Jim enjoyed his free time by hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He loved reading Louis L'Amour books, watching westerns, a good cup of coffee, and an occasional Miller Lite. Saturdays were reserved for Oklahoma football. Jimmy's favorite athletes were Muhammad Ali, John Elway, and Roger Staubach.

Jimmy is survived by his five sons, Chuck Ritter, Robert Ritter, Jimmy Rowland, David Rowland, Billy (Chris) Ritter; two daughters, Lisa Rowland, Tamara Lynn Ritter; thirteen grandchildren, Daniel (Stephanie) Ritter, Matthew (Jackie) Ritter, Jonathan (Sophia) Ritter, Travis Montgomery, Paul (Lindsey Kloske) Snyder, Jennifer Rowland, Jimmy Ray Rowland, John Rowland, Audrey Ritter, Haley Ritter, Sydney Ritter, Hannah Huntsman, David Rowland; brother, Walter Rowland Jr.; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Thomas Rowland; mother, Dorothy Rowland; wife, Audrey Elaine Rowland; son, James Ritter; daughter-In-Law, Beth Ritter; brothers, John Rowland, Frank Rowland, Jerry Rowland and Dean Rowland.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 2, 2023. Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Friday, March 3, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
