Jo Ann Doerrer, affectionately known as Jodi, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in St. Charles, Missouri. Born on October 23, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, Jodi lived a life filled with warmth, love, and selflessness that touched the hearts of many.
Jodi was the embodiment of compassion. She was the most selfless person you could ever meet, always ready to lend an ear and offer sage advice. Her family knew they could approach her with any problem or issue at any time and be heard, always finding solace in her unwavering support. As a loving and wonderful mother, her proudest accomplishments were her beloved daughters—Amy (Brian) Jenkins, Staci (Bill) Griffey, and Denise Soliz—as well as the treasured relationship she shared with her grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley), Billy, Mason, Austin, Maddie, Eve, and Cheyenne, and her great-grandchild, Sam. Each moment spent with them was a celebration of love and affection that filled her heart with joy.
In her leisure, Jodi enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, watching TV, and engaging in lively conversations with her longtime best friend, David. These activities brought her great pleasure and laughter, reflecting her vivacious spirit and zest for life.
Jodi's departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled, especially with the loss of her loving husband, Dennis Doerrer, and her beloved daughter Jamie Craig and son-in-law, Wendell Craig. She also mourned the passing of her parents, John and Florence Frost, and her sister Jacqueline Riley, always carrying their memories close to her heart.
The visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, on March 2, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we remember her gentle soul, her boundless love, and the legacy she leaves behind in all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jodi may have departed from this life, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the lives she touched.
