Jo Ellyn Lock

Jo Ellyn Lock, age 70, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri on September 29, 1951 to Walter and Mabel Brahler (nee Tegeler).

Jo Ellyn received her nursing degree from St Luke's Hospital's nursing program in 1972 and was a dedicated pediatric nurse for most of her career until her retirement in 2010. Her love of her pediatric patients was evident in that she treated all of her patients with the same care as her own children, often babysitting them on her own time and after they no longer needed nursing care.

Jo Ellyn was an avid crafter and loved to decorate for the holidays, particularly Christmas. She was known for her collecting from her little red toys, houses, pumpkins and Humpty Dumpties. She loved her pomeranians.

Jo Ellyn is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Lock; her two children, Holly Hobbs and Micah Hobbs and Micah's wife Kelly, their three children Hailey, Dominic and Alex. She is also survived by her two siblings, Jack Brahler and his wife Patty and Jerri Brod and her husband Herb. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mabel Brahler and brother Jimmy.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm with a funeral service to take place at 5:30 pm, both on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, West County Chapel, 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017
