Joan M. Amerman

Joan M. Amerman, age 84, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Maryland Heights, Missouri. She was born in Maplewood, New Jersey on July 20, 1933 to Oscar and Marie Rydgren (nee Barkow). Joan retired as a Registered Nurse and Nursing Supervisor with Bethesda Dilworth and was married to James S. Amerman, who preceded her in death January 20, 1990.

Joan is survived by her children, Linda S. (James) Brown of Saint Charles, MO, James "Jim" (Stephanie) Amerman of Saint Louis, MO, Marilee A. (Donald) Rowe of Tacoma, WA, John R. (Shelly) Amerman of Olathe, KS, and William "Bill" C. (Renee) Amerman of Pensacola, FL; a Sister, Dorothy (Jay) Courter of West Caldwell, NJ; her grandchildren: Stephen (Diana) Knapp, Brian Knapp, David (Beth) Knapp, Kim (Jonathan) Wood, Kelly (Chris) Price, William (Bethany) Amerman, Coriene Rowe, Eric (Melissa) Rowe, Grace Amerman, James Amerman, Philip (Aaron) Gill and Lindsey Gill; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents and Daughter and Son-in-law Diana and Boyd Knapp.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.

Visitation will be prior to services Sunday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm .

Interment will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
