Joan Carol Barr, a devoted mother, beloved wife, and passionate homemaker, entered eternal rest on January 28, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on March 5, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, Joan's life was one marked by love, creativity, and a deep affection for her family.

Growing up in a loving home, Joan graduated from Normandy High School and began a journey that would see her embrace various opportunities. However, her greatest joy was found in her role as a homemaker, where she devoted herself to nurturing her two children with boundless affection and care. Joan could light up any room, not only with her warm smile but also through her incredible crafting skills. She took great pride in creating beautiful dresses and elaborate holiday displays that could rival those found in the finest stores. Her passion for creativity extended to every corner of her home, making it a special place filled with love and warmth.

Joan's love for animals was evident throughout her life, as she welcomed many furry friends into her home. They were not just pets but cherished members of the family, reflecting her compassionate spirit and love for all living beings.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, William G. Barr, and her beloved son, Gregory Barr. Joan's heart will forever be intertwined with the memories shared and the love bestowed upon them. She also reunites with her loving parents, Carl and Minnie Moffit, and her cherished daughter, Michelle Bergman, who have gone before her. Their spirits embrace Joan now, welcoming her into the serenity of eternal peace.

A visitation in honor of Joan will be held on February 3, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where family and friends can gather to celebrate her life and the indelible mark she has left on their hearts.
