Joan M. Burch

Joan M. Burch, age 85, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She was born in Asheville, North Carolina on August 15, 1936 to Julian and Edith Weatherford (nee Riddle).

Joan is survived by her son, David (Susan) Burch; daughter-in-law, Ruth (Mark) Chaffin; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Michael) Haub, Lydia (Ryan) Horsfall, David (Jenna) Burch, Allison (Sean) Flynn, Hannah (Keith) Herring, and Daniel (Kellie) Burch; great-grandchildren, Jackson Haub, Benjamin Haub, Isabel Horsfall, Iris Horsfall, Charlotte Horsfall, Gabriel Horsfall, Ella Flynn, Lily Flynn, Isaiah Herring, and Judah Herring; sister, Nancy Gentry; and brother, Edward (Joanne) Grosko. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Burch; parents, Julian Weatherford and Edith Grosko; son, Charles Burch; great-granddaughters, Sara Horsfall and Selah Herring; and brothers, Jack and Julian Weatherford.


Joan was an active member of River Run Christian Church, in Melbourne, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but nothing gave her as much joy as time spent with her cherished grandchildren. She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
