Joan C. Colegrove, age 86, of Ballwin, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 in O'Fallon, Missouri. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on January 29, 1937 to Walter and Minnie Nitze (nee Ferrar).
Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping and gathering with family. She had a passion for interior design and spent most of her career working with local restaurants and hotels. She will be happy to be reunited with her beloved pets: Buddy I, Buddy II, Buddy III, Max and Tessa.
Joan is survived by her sons, Earl W. (Lui) Colegrove, and James M. (Lisa) Colegrove; her granddaughters, Tina Chowning, Nikki Pineda, Loren Brodak, and Maggie Colegrove; her grandsons, Joe Patrico, Randy Payne, and Mike Valvero; and many great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Nitze; her mother, Minnie Nitze; her sisters, Doris (Boyd) Davis, Jean (John) Fischer; and her twin sister, Joyce Cortney.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 24th 2023 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm with a memorial service starting at 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm, all at the George F. Gould Building, 1875 Muegge Rd, Saint Charles, MO 63303. Hors d'oeuvres & refreshments provided.
