Joan Epperson, age 86, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in Columbia, Missouri on October 21, 1935 to Dennis and Ruby Johnson (nee Blackburn).
Joan is survived by her sons John Epperson, Mark Epperson, and Jason Green; grandchildren Jason Epperson, Dustin Epperson, Jeremy Epperson, Erica Epperson, Jordan Epperson, Corey Epperson, and Xela Epperson; great-granddaughter Hailey Alexander; and lifelong best friends Ruth and Claudine.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Ruby Johnson; and brother Farrell (wife Gail survives) Johnson.
Joan was a long time member of First Baptist Church of St. Charles. She was a teacher, and retired from the Orchard Farm School District after a 30 + year career. Joan was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching Cardinals games. She also loved to travel with friends, and visited many countries overseas during her adventures. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished her time with them.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, First Baptist of St. Charles, or Feed the Children.
