Joan M. Green

Joan "Joni" Mary Green, 65, of Florissant, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2024, but not before putting up one hell of a fight.

She was born to the late William "Wild Bill" and Edna Layton on August 1, 1959 in St. Louis, MO. and graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 1977. Joan was a legal secretary for much of her career prior to retiring in 2023.

How does one even begin to describe the impact of her presence in a few short words? 

Joan was a unique woman that possessed a heart of gold and went above and beyond the call of duty without failure. Loving, honest and caring are merely a few of the countless traits that come to mind. She sported an infectious smile, knew her way around the kitchen and was always the life of the party. Your soul shined brightly wherever you roamed and was warmly received by everyone you encountered. In short, the world is a better place because of you.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, of 42 years, two boys, Tony of Wentzville, MO, and Matt Scottsdale, AZ, daughter in law, Holly, of Wentzville, MO, two loving grandchildren, Gabriel and Harper, and a third turkey on the way.

A service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters from 4-8:30 PM on Thursday, November 14th, 2024.
