Joan Marie Haefner

Joan Marie Haefner, born on May 23, 1933 in St. Louis Missouri to Lester and Stella Hoffarth (nee Metts). She passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old.

Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Haefner and Dennis Haefner (Deborah).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman E. Haefner, and her grandsons, Jeffrey Haefner Jr. and Jacob Coppedge; and daugther-in-law, Sharon Haefner. 

Joan was a proud grandmother to Aaron Brown, Amanda Graue, Allyse Haefner, Abigail Haefner (Justin), Scott Haefner (Crystal), and Ronald Haefner (Sara), Jessica Coppedge and brothers. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Layla, Logan, Charlie, and Jack Graue; Declyn and Kennedy Brown and Emma Haefner; Dylan and Elliot Haefner; Eva and Evan Haefner; Beau, Landon, and Carter Brown. 

Joan's family was her whole world, and she took immense joy in their lives and accomplishments. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

A visitation and service to celebrate Joan's life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home - St. Peters Chapel, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376. Visitation from 1PM to 4PM with a memorial service at 4PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joan's memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The American Cancer Society or Five Acres Animal Shelter St. Charles, MO.

Joan will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her loving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
