Joann Laverne Ward, age 77, of Weldon Spring, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 9, 1943 to Herbert and Genevieve Newberry (nee Ragsdale).
Joann liked to dance, play Scrabble, work crossword puzzles, play cards, and play Super Mario Brothers on her Nintendo.
Joann is survived by her Husband, Kent Ward, Brother, Dan (Priscilla) Payne, Son, Bill (Kay) Meeks, Daughter, Mellisa (Chris) DeGrave, Daughter, Karyn Hayes Granddaughter, Jessica (Ronnie) Meeks, Grandson, Alexander Smith, Grandson, Ian Smith, Great-Grandson, Viktor Smith, and she will also be dearlymissed by a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Herbert Newberry; Mother, Genevieve Newberry; Sister, Shirley Hewlett; Two Brothers, Ronald Davis, Cook Newberry; Daughter, LaDena Terry; and Grandson, Billy Meeks.
Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 26, 2021 at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
