John F. Anthony, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Troy, Missouri. John was born in Old Monroe, Missouri on August 5, 1933, the eldest son of Dederich and Adele Anthony (nee Gnade).
John was an Army veteran, who served from 1953 to 1955. He belonged to the Amvets and Elks Lodge.
John is and will be forever missed by his family and dear friends.
Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Mary Burkemper and Rosann Heitman; brother, Richard (Lavada) Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Diedrich and Adele; brother, Paul; sisters, Doris Harrision, Sister Jane Anthony, and Teresa Travers. He is also preceded by three brothers-in-law, Don Harrision, Johnny Heitman, and Vernon Burkemper; nephew, David Heitman; and niece, Debbie Heitman.
Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on 110 Maryknoll Road in Old Monroe, Missouri on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Visitation will be from 9:00am - 11:00am and the funeral mass will follow at 11:00am. Interment in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery will be immediately after services.
