John Arras, age 88, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on March 11, 1932 to Anton and Eva Arras (nee Pokorney).
He was a man who loved his family and was surrounded by them his whole life. He was funny and quite the prankster. John had a great sense of humor. He was always playing tricks on everyone he knew. He loved camping, fishing,boating and target shooting. He was also a sports fanatic.
John is survived by his wife, Wanda F. Arras; his children, Robert B. (Linda) Arras, Thomas S. (Catherine) Arras, and Donna R. Sprague; his grandchildren, Alyson (Josh) Holbrook, Kimberly Arras, James (Elizabeth) Arras, Craig (Jackie) Ketsenburg, Jennifer (Alan) Heincker, Thomas (Lauren) Ketsenburg, Amy Peterson, Brian Sprague, Carrie Zapryanov and Dalton (Tiffany) Groves; and his many great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anton G. Arras; his mother, Eva Krueger; his sons, John M. Arras and Ronald L. Arras; granddaughter, Autumn Arras; and a grandson, David Arras.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm, both on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be private.
