John Stanley Bacon, age 82, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 24, 1939 to Donald and Nina Bacon (nee Todd).
John was a Librarian at Pattonville School District from 1964 to 1992. He was married to Carolyn Bacon in 1961 and they were married for 60 years.
John is survived by his Wife, Carolyn Jean Bacon of Saint Charles, MO; Daughter, Allison (Michael) Stout; Sister, Jane (the late Marvin) Ruehling; Sister-In-Law, Mary Lewis; seven nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Donald Bacon; and Mother, Nina C. Bacon; Brother, Donald Charles Bacon; Brother, Donald Ray Bacon; and Sister, Nina Bacon.
John loved to travel having been to 24 countries and all 50 states. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was hard to beat at a game of gin. He was good at making people laugh. When John was in his 40s he picked up a carpentry book and decided to build his own house in the Lake of the Ozarks. Luckily he had the help of many family and friends.
