John H. Breeding, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on February 2, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri. Born on September 7, 1957, in St. Charles, Missouri, John was a man full of life, humor, and kindness—a unique spirit who touched the hearts of all who knew him.
John's personality was a delightful blend of humor and warmth. He had a knack for making people laugh with his funny, often uncouth remarks, and he wielded sarcasm like an art form, delighting those around him. His kindness was evident in his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Family gatherings at his house were cherished events, where the joy of togetherness and shared laughter filled the air. John created an atmosphere where every moment became a memorable experience, solidifying bonds that would last a lifetime.
In addition to his infectious personality, John had many hobbies and interests that he pursued with passion. He found great joy in woodworking and crafting, where his creativity shone brightly. Playing card games and rolling dice became a favorite past time, often enjoyed in the company of friends and family. John also had a fondness for animal watching, always taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature and its creatures.
John leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories through his surviving family. He is survived by his two daughters, Stacy Breeding and Kelly (Chip Schmidt) Breeding; two sons, John (Jennifer) Breeding and Gabriel Breeding; as well as seven beloved grandchildren—Tyler, Megan, Jacob, Christian, Aiden, Haley, and Paige—who adored him. John also shared a close bond with his sibling, Joyce Younghein, and his step-father, Chester Ditch. The warmth and richness of his relationships extended to a host of other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
John was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Gene Breeding; mother, Mary Anne Ditch; and two siblings, Judy Schmucker and Robert Breeding. Their love for him remains an integral part of his story, woven into the fabric of his life.
As we remember John H. Breeding, we celebrate a man who lived fully, embraced his passions, and brought laughter and kindness into the world. His spirit will forever be carried on through the lives he touched and the love that surrounds his family.
